Savvy Spells for the City Witch
Seek a witch and find her living in solitude in the wild forest. We all know that old stereotype and, yes, it contains a grain of truth. As many of us know, however, there’s another side to that story. Witches have also been city dwellers for as long as cities have existed, finding discreet safety, clients, companionship, and influencing the history of witchcraft.
Join author Judika Illes at Magickal Realms in the Bronx on Sunday, November 23rd at 2:00 in the afternoon for a workshop dedicated to the city witch. (This is the Sunday BEFORE Thanksgiving.) We’ll discuss the history of urban witchcraft in Alexandria, Babylon, and other great cities of the ancient world, as well as in modern cities, especially New York, the crossroads of the world. We will explore the specific magical powers associated with cities and how to avail ourselves of them, creating savvy spells specifically for city witches.
Refreshments will be served. Come socialize with other practitioners of the magical arts. Magickal Realms is at 72 Westchester Square in the Bronx, above Mr. Sports. Yes, you can take the subway. Contact the shop directly for directions. Tickets are $45.00 and MUST be reserved in advance. This is a New York City shop and space is, by definition, limited. Please contact Magickal Realms to reserve your spot.
